MLB wild card

ESPN came to Compadre to write, design, and produce a :30 promo for the 2023 MLB Wild Card Series. The challenge was balancing two emotional notes at once: the pressure of a season hanging in the balance, and the unpredictable joy that makes October baseball feel different from everything else. The team landed on "Threads" as the central concept, weaving 3D-rendered golden threads through cinematic player moments and a dramatic render of the World Series trophy to carry the metaphor through every frame.

A reminder that the best ideas are usually the simplest ones. Thread, trophy, tension. That's the whole spot.
